Middle Caicos Turks and Caicos Islands

With rolling hills and rocky bluffs standing guard along the northern coastline, the Middle Caicos landscape is perhaps the most dramatic and picturesque of all the Caicos Islands. Visit Mudjin Harbour, for a spectacular photo opportunity. The rocks of Dragon Cay create a serene lagoon, a perfect haven for sea life, marine creatures and snorkelling.

At last count, 271 people live within the quaint villages of Conch Bar, Bambarra and Lorimers, united by a paved road.

Over 15 miles of above-sea-level caverns are an interesting “must-see” local tour. Artifacts prove the caves were once a Lucayan indian shelter.

A nature trail exists along the north shore. Many acres of wetland plants and wildlife are protected by the Ramsar Treaty on both Middle and North Caicos. Resident flamingos and many species of birds live or migrate to the island.

Easy to get to by small plane, a 15 minute flight, or by boat. A causeway has been completed connecting Middle Caicos to North Caicos making it possible to drive between these two islands.
