Deep Sea Fishing
Many say that Turks & Caicos blue water fishing is the finest in the Caribbean. Listed in the "Top 20" hotspots in the world for blue marlin by Sport Fishing Magazine, April 1997. The blue marlin is plentiful all year, but caught in record numbers during the summer season. Sailfish and white marlin scout the edge of the reef from November to April, which are also the best months for wahoo, tuna and dolphin fish. The beauty of fishing from Providenciales or Grand Turk is that within 15 minutes of leaving the dock, you reach "the deep" and can start to troll.
Bonefishing
Bonefish are considered by many to be the king of light-tackle gamesters, combining power and incredible (speed). Daily catches of 20, 40, 50 and even 100 small bones are not uncommon.
Bottom and Reef Fishing
Bottom fishing and reef fishing are the most likely to produce plenty of bites and a large catch - especially fun for children and impatient adults. Commonly caught fish are in the much prized snapper and grouper families, including grey snapper, mutton snapper, strawberry grouper and Nassau grouper, along with yellowfin, parrot fish, boxfish and other reef browsers.
